RSVP for Basic Keelboat Class

The cost of the Course is $575

This is a beginner course, no prior sailing experience is required. 

The Class begins at the Lake Davenport Sailing Club for classroom and safety instruction. Within a few hours you will be departing from the dock at the Lake Davenport Sailing Club on a 25 foot keelboat.  Our instructional time is flexible to accommodate your schedule as well as river and weather conditions.

The course includes: 

• US Sailing certified course taught by a US Sailing certified instructor

• 20 Hours of Hands on Sailing on the Mississippi River 

• 1 year membership to the US Sailing organization 

• 1 year social membership to Lake Davenport Sailing Club.

• An instructional workbook for home study.

• Upon successful completion of the written exam and demonstration of the required sailing skills on the water, you will receive a US Sailing Logbook with a certificate indicating your proficiency level.
